STARTER KIT | Shift Engineer

I. Duties & Responsibilities:
o Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down-time as
one of the cost efficiency measures
o Work with engineering staff on executing projects, which entails monitoring the process
troubleshooting and adjusting it for optimal performance.
4. Perform Administrative Task for the Department
o Check daily endorsement logbook of equipment and facilities for repairs.
o Respond to daily guests or other employees’ concerns or request for repairs in a courteous and
timely manner.
o Prepare daily shift reports.
o Maintain daily Engineering report log and read and prepare logbook shift endorsements.
o Assist the staff in organization and stock control
o Ensure work orders are completed on time
o Liaise effectively with external contractors
o Train other Engineering staff if and when required and deemed necessary.
o Represent the Engineering department in meetings and contribute to effective communication within
the Engineering team
o Make sure that there is good reporting and communication channels in place between Production,
the Engineering team, and Engineering management
o Develop and maintain good working relationship among other departments
o Present a good image of the Engineering department, act in a professional and positive manner at
all times.
