There were no mobile phones then. After eight
months, our paths crossed again. Both Certified
Public Accountants, we were officemates in Sycip,
Gorres, Velayo & Co. He invited me to dinner with
his family to celebrate his birthday at Via Mare
Greenbelt. After dinner, the two of us went to Le
Boulevardier in Hotel Intercon. It was there that
he asked me to be his girlfriend. Without batting
an eyelash, I gave him my big YES. Three and a
half years later, we got married and spent our
honeymoon in Baguio City.

Apart from the IWCPI, do you have any other
affiliations? Jun & I had long simplified our lives
when we became members of the Elders Core
Group of Couples for Christ (CFC). We resigned
from other organizations, but we chose to
continue being active in Rotary and Inner Wheel
concurrently with CFC. We are delighted to carry
our “cross” serving in CFC, which is our vertical
relationship with God and serving in Rotary &
Inner Wheel, which are our horizontal relationship
with our fellowmen.

Are you a good cook? What is your signature What advice can you impart to the new
