DISCUSSION
Aesthetics is one of the greatest concerns, especially in young adult patients,
6c 6d and must be included in the treatment plan. One solution is composite veneers,
which provide satisfactory aesthetics while minimally involving the teeth.
Proper tooth preparation is vital for the effective placement of composites. The
inorganic phase in DI dentin was investigated by Kerbel et al, [12] who reported
that the crystallites in DI dentin, are less numerous than in normal dentin. An
analysis of electron microprobe indicated lesser mineral content in DI teeth
dentin as compared to normal dentin. The decrease in the mineral content of
DI dentin has been corroborated by chemical analyses. [10]
Composite veneers are indicated in patients affected by DI in frontal region
where teeth are without caries and with low abrasion. This treatment allowed
maintaining optimal esthetic and function, as well as preserving the tooth
