DENTISTRY WITH EXOCAD

On the occasion of the International Digital Dentistry Conclave 2.0, held in Pune from November 22nd to 24th, 2024, we caught up
with the exocad team members for a candid conversation. In this interview Mikhail Barshev, Dr. Meghana Deodhar, and Michael
Gärtner—share their journey at the forefront of digital dentistry. From new software features to the rapid transformation of the
dental landscape in India, they discuss how exocad is pushing the boundaries of technology and creating new possibilities for
dental professionals. Get an insider’s view of how exocad is not just adapting to the future of dentistry, but actively shaping it.

and discusses the cutting-edge features
of exocad’s DentalCAD 3.2 Elefsina feature
release.

Dental Practice (DP): What was your experience at the
exocad hands-on workshop?
Mikhail: exocad’s two-day, pre-conference workshop at the
International Digital Dentistry Implantology Conclave 2.0
was exciting. Together with 25 dental professionals, we held
a hands-on workshop, with interesting cases and discussed
new ideas. The participants were highly engaged.

DP: What did you present? And what features did the
participants enjoy the most?
Mikhail: I presented a fully digital dental rehabilitation.
This workflow is called “immediate load.” This means the
treatment starts and ends on the computer and provides
same-day rehabilitation, including implant planning, surgery,
designing of the prosthetic components, milling or printing
them and placing them in the patient’s mouth. We planned
and designed several clinical situations to demonstrate the
speed, ease and precision of the exocad workflow.

DP: How would you rate the level of interest and
understanding of the participants at this workshop?
Mikhail: Very high! It was a pleasure to share my knowledge
with such motivated participants.

DP: What are the highlights of the latest DentalCAD 3.2
Elefsina feature release?
Mikhail: A few of my favorite new features are: Designing
natural abrasion facets, and Model Creator with quick models and Dr. Meghana Deodhar, Senior Sales Manager,
printable models with scan color/texture information, as well as the reflects on the company’s progress in India,
more automated wizard for more streamlined designs. But those are highlighting milestones like successful roadshows
just a few. The DentalCAD 3.2 Elefsina feature release includes many and the importance of using authentic software.
highlights like timesaving workflows, improved visualizations and
greater design flexibility. With this release, users are also set up for
upcoming AI and cloud services! DP: Reflecting on this year, how would you describe the company’s
progress and the highlights from your perspective?
