comfortable with them. The same was communicated to the
laboratory that made a design digitally keeping her inputs in
mind. She approved the design and we went ahead with the
final preparations.
We also analyse phonetics at this stage with F & V for
Incisal Inclination and lip position, eMMa for Incisal
Display and E for Incisal overlap and percentage of Smile
window that the maxillary teeth occupy. We also analyse
Silvermann’s closest speaking space for overjet and overbite
and to analyse a lisp.
FINAL PREPARATIONS
The challenge in this case was the tooth stump 11, it was
dark and decayed and we wanted to make it longer to sup-
port the prosthesis. Since we worked with the end result in
mind, we knew that 22 would have to be shaped more than
12 to overcome the opacity difference of medium opacity
ingot that we selected for the bridge. The veneers were
pressed in low translucency ingot and matching all of them
was a job that the laboratory did well. The impressions were
recorded in Addition silicone putty and light body with gin-
gival retraction cords and paste.

I always tell the patient that we would be trying on the new
smile first and if we like everything which rarely happens we
can bond all the prosthesis on the same day. This puts our
mind at ease with patient expectations. In this case we sent
