back the 32 veneer for a better mesial
line angle and bonded the rest under
rubber dam isolation.
Bonding under dam makes the
clean up easy that can be left behind if
not used otherwise. Since the cement
and restorations blend into each other
visually identifying them is difficult but
can be found on tactile sensation and
removed with #12 blade.
CONCLUSION
They say, all the statistics in the world
FIG 14
cannot measure the warmth of a smile.
While I rely on proportion and ratios
when it comes to designing smiles I
also consider that individual personali-
ty and characterization can add that
spark to make a perfect smile!
Lithium Disilicate restorations offer
life like translucency and characteriza-
tions that make them the material of
choice when treating anterior teeth.
They can be used to cover discoloured
stumps thanks to the variety of ingots
available these days. A laboratory that
understands patient demands and cli-
nician needs can provide beautiful
esthetics in challenging cases with the
advent of digital smile designing soft-
wares.
Beauty is relative in more ways than
we can imagine while smile designing
FIG 15
is a triangle with the patient at the apex
the dentist and the master ceramist
form the base. Knowing patient expec-
tations and trying our best to blend
functionality with esthetics is what
makes smile designing a truly gratify-
ing experience without creating clones!
