Department
• Prof. Amar Pal Singh and Prof. Kanwal DP Singh organized a National Seminar on
Judicial Delays : Maladies and Remedies (under the supervision of Ministry of Law and
Justice from January 10–11, 2020.
The first day of this National Seminar started with the inaugural session and a
welcome address by Prof. A.P. Singh, Dean, USLLS, GGSIPU. The occasion was
graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Judge, Delhi High Court. He delivered
the keynote address enriched with his own professional experiences focusing on
technological developments affecting the legal system. Prof. M.P. Singh, Chancellor,
Central University, Haryana, delivered the inaugural address focusing on the age-old
problems of Judicial Delay. Thereafter Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Vice Chancellor, National
Law University, Delhi delivered the Presidential Remarks by giving noteworthy facts and
suggestions related to the problem. The Registrar of the University, Mr. Ravi Dadhich,
gave vote of thanks on the occasion.
