For Lida, yoga teacher training with Adhiyogi was more than just an educational program — it was a turning point in her life’s journey. Through detailed study of theory and the discipline of daily practice, she began to find answers to the questions that had been quietly shaping her search for meaning.
The course was a balanced blend of philosophy and action. Adhiyogi’s individual approach to each student meant that Lida never felt like just another face in the group. He paid attention to the smallest details — how she led a class, how she adjusted students in poses, how she incorporated breathing techniques, meditation, and mudras. Under his guidance, she learned how to maintain focus in a classroom, how to adapt to students with special needs, and how to create a safe, uplifting space for every practitioner.
But the training brought her more than professional growth. It was during her time in Pune, training alongside her partner Vladimir, that a heartfelt idea emerged. Together, they approached Adhiyogi with an unusual request: would he marry them at the Yoga Shala once their training was complete?
Adhiyogi agreed, and after the final class of their Pune program, the simple Shala was transformed into a place of celebration. Surrounded by fellow trainees, incense, and blessings, Lida and Vladimir exchanged vows — the teachings of yoga now woven into the very fabric of their union.
Their journey did not end there. Soon after, they settled in Thailand, where they built a life together and continued sharing the gift of yoga with others. For Lida, the training had given her skills, confidence, and a profession, but it had also given her something timeless: a deeper love, both for her partner and for the path of yoga itself.
