Stephanie Gulio’s Teacher Training Journey with Adhiyogi
In 2004–2005, Stephanie Gulio, a Registered Yoga Teacher from Arlington, Virginia, and an instructor at American University in Washington, D.C., embarked on the Authentic Yoga Teacher Training with Adhiyogi. From the very start, she recognized something rare in her teacher — an unbelievable wealth of knowledge rooted in classical yoga scripture, supported by a deep familial lineage.
“I just ate up every moment of the training,” Stephanie recalls. Each session felt like a treasure trove of wisdom. Adhiyogi didn’t just teach; he demonstrated — clearly and convincingly — how and why his methodology and philosophy stood apart. His teachings invited her to step beyond her comfort zone, opening new doors in her thinking, practice, and teaching.
At the same time, Adhiyogi created an atmosphere of trust and openness, where no question felt too small or too complex. His organic approach to exploring topics resonated deeply with Stephanie, allowing her to absorb and integrate the lessons naturally.
But beyond the knowledge, there was also warmth. Stephanie appreciated his lovely personality, welcoming spirit, and the genuine care he brought to each interaction.
Reflecting on the experience, Stephanie sums it up simply: “Adhiyogi is tip-top.”
OM Shantiḥ.
