Juliana Britania – Life Coach, Wales, U.K.
When Juliana Britania first arrived at Adhiyogi’s training, she was given homework that seemed deceptively simple: sit in silence for 30 minutes a day and focus on one object.
She chose her own body weight.
At first, it was a battle. Thirty minutes of stillness brought up waves of restlessness — anxiety, irritability, even anger. But as the days passed, those storms gave way to moments of calm, and then to a deep, centered focus. In that stillness, Juliana began to remember a time in her youth when she had a natural control over her eating, when she understood her body’s hunger and fullness signals intuitively.
She recalled being able to leave the table feeling lightly hungry, knowing that in twenty minutes she’d feel satisfied. She remembered the small, mindful strategies she had once used — balancing a rich meal with a lighter one the next day or drinking only water after a celebration — all of which had kept her healthy and energized.
Life, loss, and grief had changed that. After the passing of her parents, food had become a comfort and a distraction. Exercise became her main tool for weight control, but the hours she put in — up to two hours a day — began to hurt her back, knees, and neck. She knew something had to change.
Through Adhiyogi’s guidance, meditation became the turning point. Silent sitting taught her how to reconnect with her body’s wisdom. She began eating less without feeling deprived, enjoying foods she once avoided, like pizza and bread, without guilt or overindulgence. She learned to pair her mindful eating with gentle, focused yoga sessions that built strength and stamina without injury.
Adhiyogi’s depth of knowledge — from Sanskrit scripture to the original roots of yoga — helped Juliana see that yoga was never just about the body. It began with the mind, and mastery over the mind could transform everything.
Today, she feels in control, powerful in her choices, and balanced in her body. “I will be back to see you,” she told Adhiyogi with gratitude. “This has been a blessing, and I carry it forward with love.”
OM Shantiḥ.
