The Spiritual Bond of Edji and Pamji with Adhiyogi
Among the many seekers who found their path through the guidance of Adhiyogi, the story of Edji and Pamji, a devoted couple from Alexandria, Virginia, shines with a spiritual radiance of its own.
Pamji, an introspective and deeply intuitive individual, first encountered Adhiyogi at a time when her heart was yearning for more than the common, commercialized interpretations of yoga. Almost immediately, she experienced something beyond words—what she described as a “transmission,” an inner knowing that she had found her true teacher. In Adhiyogi, she didn’t just find someone who taught poses and breathwork, but a guide who embodied a complete yogic life—one deeply grounded in Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga. This comprehensive, awakened way of being resonated deeply with her spirit.
She shared that what made the experience of being Adhiyogi’s student so profound was the feeling of being completely accepted and understood at a soul level. Her trust in him was absolute—rare and unwavering—born not of rational deduction but of inner recognition. To her, Adhiyogi’s knowledge was not academic; it was lived, felt, and radiated from his being. She believed deeply that the “right” students would find him, just as she had, and hoped that more seekers would come to know his presence.
Her husband, Edji, a disciplined engineer by profession, found in Adhiyogi a teacher whose approach to Yoga offered not only physical healing but also inner transformation. After attending a powerful chanting workshop, Edji felt an immediate positive shift—not just spiritually, but physically. His back, long a source of discomfort, felt strong and straight. He began incorporating new mantras into his meditation practice, and the results were profound.
In a heartfelt message, Edji expressed gratitude not only for the practice itself but for Adhiyogi’s remarkable teaching style: calm, sincere, and deeply patient. The answers Adhiyogi offered to his questions felt tailored to his soul, helping difficult concepts take root faster than expected. Inspired by his experience, Edji began reading Autobiography of Swami Sivananda, a book gifted to him by Adhiyogi, and was amazed at how it seemed to respond directly to the questions stirring within his own heart.
Together, Edji and Pamji’s lives were transformed through their bond with Adhiyogi—a bond forged not in outward rituals, but in quiet, sacred recognition of truth, presence, and authentic spiritual connection.
OM Shantiḥ.
