be that one is performing the activity and enjoying doing the activity itself. The result is expected, but the result may be different from the expectation in various degrees. It may be somewhat different, a lot different or totally different from the expectation. In such a practice, one does not depend on the success of the expected result, also called Fruits of Action (karma-fala). With the Karma Yoga practice, one slowly gets independence from the processes of the material world, the Prakruti. In other words, a person obtains the purity of mind, necessary to follow either path of meditation, or follow the path of knowledge. Or, such a person reaches the spiritual liberation (Moksha) due to extreme purity of Mind, with no Karma left.
Let us now consider some relevant quotations from the authentic sources.
Adhiyoga Sutra 5.4: Purusha is bound to the universe by Karma, which is the accumulated desire. On reaching the Kaivalya, the Purusha of the perfected yogi is liberated from the universal binding with the Prakruti, the material world.
