A huge thank you to the “Desde Mi Balcon (From My Balcony) by: Fernando Santiago”
show for interviewing several of our Spanish speaking Children & Family Resource (CFR) staff
members to inform the Hispanic Community about the Voluntary Prekindergarten
Program (VPK). Following the interview, Jeannette Garcia, Rosa Fucci, Diane Perez, Idalia
Camacho and Ana Mendez were able to interact with viewers in real time on “Facebook

Many ELC Staff members
joined thousands across the
U.S. by wearing red on the
first Friday of February. The
purpose of this event is to
bring greater attention to
heart disease, which is the
leading cause of death for
Americans.

Participants pledge to be
more active to protect their
hearts.
