Provincial
The Provincial Government mainly takes charge of specific areas which are listed in the
Constitution Act 1897.
These areas include education, healthcare, some natural resources, and road regulations.
Sometimes they share responsibility with the Federal Government.
The leader of the Provincial Government in our province is Doug Ford.
The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario led by Doug Ford, won a majority of government
with 76 seats out of the grand total of 124 seats in the Legislature.
The provinces are responsible for public schooling, health, and social services, highways, the
administration of justice, and local government.
Provinces are free to determine their own levels of public services, and each province has been
true to its economic and cultural interests in its own fashion.
