  workers. Because oceans have most of the earth's waters, it makes it that much harder to find water we can consume because ocean water is not healthy. Therefore, while the earth is mostly water, the water we can consume is extremely difficult to find and have access to.
seawater contains a high level of salt making it almost impossible for us to be able to ingest that water in our everyday life. The same source states, “Human kidneys can only make urine that is less salty than salt water. Therefore, to get rid of all the excess salt taken in by drinking seawater, you
have to urinate more water than you drank. Eventually, you die of dehydration even as you become thirstier.” Not only can the amount of salt affect your cells it can also affect your kidneys which leads to other problems like dehydration; at the end of the day this all becomes a cause and effect reaction. The amount of salt in your body can have a great impact on your health which is why drinking seawater is not recommended. To conclude, even
though we don't have that much drinkable water on this earth, drinking seawater is not any better because it just impacts your health way too much.
N​ot only can seawater have a big impact on your health, it
can be deadly and it is not good for one to consume it at all; many say that even if you are dying of thirst, drinking seawater will only make things worse and not better. The last and final source states, “A kidney cannot make urine from a concentration of salts of more than 2%. Seawater is made up of approximately 3% salt, so if we drink it to quench our thirst the kidneys have to use existing water from our body to dilute the extra salt, which in turn makes us feel even thirstier”. Drinking seawater can cause kidney failure and that is because seawater has more salt than what is used for filtering.
