S​easonal allergies are the immune system's response
to the millions of pollen grains and plant sperm cells floating through the air every spring season. The allergic cells get activated when the bound IgE recognizes an allergen. These cells then release histamine, a chemical that
can cause a runny nose, hives, sneezing, and itching. The inflammatory response that your body triggers leads to these symptoms. Everyone makes IgE, but people who are prone to allergic
reactions make much larger quantities. Indoor and outdoor allergies are the two leading groups, meaning it’s an allergic starting point. Indoor allergies can be caused by dust mites, bugs, molds, and more. Your Immune system controls how your body defends itself. The allergens that your body releases is your immune system overreacting to foreign substances.
