Guidelines
“I’m just sick and tired of fighting with my kids
and their technology.”
his is a statement I have heard over and over
throughout my years of facilitating parent work-
Tshops and discussions. There is this feeling in
many households that there needs to be a “fight” or
“battle” when it comes to kids and technology. This
battle can happen in other arenas, too (in my household,
getting kids to bed on time), but generally technology
seems to be viewed in this light—partly because it’s new,
and partly because we as parents don’t quite understand
the use or entertainment value of the devices or social
media sites.
