(b) Religion – no one religion is the „right‰ religion for everyone;
(c) Race/ ethnicity / culture – any child can chase after their dreams; an Arab girl can become a scientist, an African boy can become a doctor;
(d) Language – children can learn more than one language and that does not mean that they will forget their native language; and
(e) Special needs children – a child with impaired hearing can be a top student in class.
4.5 FLOOR PLAN

The floor plan must be designed to suit preschoolers aged four to five years. It should, among other things, provide ample space for different types of activities with allowance for normally excluded areas such as doorways, built-in sinks. All floor plans must be outfitted with basic furniture and equipment.
When selecting and arranging material within programme space, educators should consider the following:
(a) Purpose of areas and enhancement of holistic development;
(b) Balance of natural, commercial, simplex/ complex and authentic items ;
(c) Uncluttered spaces that allow children to focus on material;
(d) ChildrenÊs perspectives and interests;
(e) Available space, features, height and size of environment;
(f) Aestheticappeal;
(g) Diverse and unusual ways to organise, combine and arrange materials;
(h) Plans that include ample time to learn, such as maintaining and changing the resources;
(i) Flexibility of time and material; and
(j) New possibilities to transform the environment and generate learning.
