Making form by Grafting

                                               1. Quinta Masses
Considering the urban context, two gabled
roof masses are formed to harmonize with
                                               the surroundings. These masses become
                                               part of the Portuguese countryside.

                                                                                                   BB

                                               2. Grafting Mass
The elongated mass is grafted onto the
rural massing along the axis of the traveler's
access route. The pierced mass connects
                                               to Portugal's beautiful natural scenery.

                                               3. Expands Underground
                                               To meet program requirements, the
massing extends underground. To free up
circulation, parts of the site are lowered in
level to create public space and views.

When guests enter the building, they're greeted with a beautiful view at the end of the corridor.
