Thunderbird Appreciation Day 2025
May 18 was Thunderbird Appreciation Day, and the annual Venus Ford car show.

With 2025 also being the 70 anniversary of the Thunderbird, Venus showcased Pete
Zierden’s 1955 Thunderbird inside the dealership. Outside, there were between 15
and 20 Thunderbirds on display. Unfortunately, the cool weather and gloomy skies
kept several Thunderbirds at home in their garages. It seemed that many spectators
enjoyed looking at the various generations of T-birds on the show field.
After the show, it was of course time to eat, so several members headed down the
road to the Final Approach on Howell Ave. Our group had their own private sunroom
overlooking the airport across the street. It seemed everyone was happy with their
meals, and after a little more conversation, it was time to head home. Hopefully better
weather next year will bring out even more members with their cars.
