External Lifecycle Actions: For External Based Service – No VM launched
▪ External Lifecycle Action scripts are run from an isolated container on the Docker
Service Server, which runs on the CCOs by default
▪ External Action Bundles must be named serviceID.zip. Example Service ID of DNS
then bundle of DNS.zip.
▪ External Server Bundles are downloaded to a container on the Docker Service Server
To update configuration of external service
To start the external service
To stop the external service
