Supporting Student Notes:
• The Fabric Interconnects are the heart of the UCS solution
• UCSM runs inside the Fabric interconnect, which is also the connection point to the rest of the data center
• Chassis are connected to the Fabric Interconnect using Unified Fabric links (network, storage, and mgmt all run over
the same wire)
• We insert UCS servers into the chassis
• As we grow, we simply add more chassis and servers using the same pair of fabric interconnects
