3- Password security




              Hackers can get your password through:
              1- Phishing scam                                       2- Smishing

              Phishing scam: is sending a message via email or social media that looks real but
              is not, it also contains It contains spelling and grammar errors and

              Examples:

                 •  You received a message that you won  a prize, but you have to give  your
                     bank account details to get the prize.
                 •  When an attachment, or file, is opened, data-stealing software is installed
                     on the person’s computer.

              Smishing:  like  phishing  but  a  text  message

              instead of an email.
              To identify these messages, it may include:
                 1-  Misspelled words.
                 2-  Grammar errors.
                 3-  Requests  for  too  much
                     personal data.

              Two ways to protect from hackers:
              1-Use a password manager to:
                 1- Create a strong and unique password, and tell you if
                 the password you already have is too weak.
                 2- Tell you if you’ve reused the password.

                 3- Tell you if one of your passwords has been stolen
                 online.
              2-  Multi-Factor  Authentication  (MFA):  means  that  you
              have to provide at least two ways of identifying yourself.
              It combines:
                 1.  Your  password  or  PIN  (personal  identification

                     number).
                 2.  An email or a one-time code.
