                                            MA23202   Supplementary Mathematics

               Supplementary Subject                                                    Learning Area of Mathematics
               Secondary 3 Semester 2                                               Time  40  Periods  1 Credit

                       Students will use index notation for positive integer powers , construct ,simplify or transform algebraic
               expressions,  derive  formulae,  substitute  numbers  into  expressions  and  formulae  ,expand  and  simplify  the
               product of two linear expressions, construct and solve linear equations , inequalities, solve a simple pair of
               simultaneous linear equations ,use systematic trial and improvement methods to find approximate solutions of
               equations, manipulate numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, and apply routine algorithms ,decide how
               to check results, by using inverse operations, suggest a question to explore using statistical methods, identify
               primary or  secondary  sources of  suitable  data  ,design, trial  and  refine  data collection  sheets  ,collect  and
               tabulate data ,calculate and select statistics.
               Solve probability problems, find events in a sample space diagram ,understand and use relative frequency as
               an estimate of probability to compare outcomes of experiments in a range of contexts, select , draw, and
               interpret diagrams and graphs ,compare two or more distributions ,relate results and conclusions to the original
               question , identify, organise, represent and interpret information accurately in written, tabular, graphical and
               diagrammatic forms, compare and understand how to use this skill in daily life and develop thinking skills in the
               21st century.
                       This subject uses knowledge and understanding creating process, working process, analysis process,
               grouping process and problem solving process in teaching and studying.
                       The knowledge and the processes are designed to develop the students’ desirable characteristics
               which are love of nation, religion and king, Honesty and integrity, Self-discipline, Avidity for learning, Observance
               of  principles  of  Sufficiency  Economy  Philosophy  in  one’s  way  life,  Dedication  and  commitment  to  work,
               Cherishing Thai-ness, Public-mindedness and Health and aesthetic images.

               Learning Outcomes
