Besides providing him care, Mat says he can relate to some of the challenges and emotions Dominic has faced growing up. “It’s rewarding to be able to talk to him about the struggles he’s going through as a teenager. To blow off a little steam, sometimes we go outside and I play some loud music while helping him ride around on his bike,” he
says. “That means a lot to me because I know what it meant to me as a kid, to get on a bike and ride around with a friend.”
That compassion is what brought Mat and BAYADA together. “We work to
be happy and to find purpose in life,” he says. “The people I work with have found it.”
