 Why Nonprofit?
BAYADA transitioning to nonprofit was a signal to our clients, employees, and the marketplace that we stand for something different, bigger. That we’re here for the long haul as a leader in the movement toward making health care better through home-at-the-center: for everyone, everywhere.
By becoming nonprofit, we’ve got our sights set on a hundred years and beyond, where we are committed to advancing a mission that’s bigger than ourselves.
As a nonprofit, we still provide the same services as we have and we earn income for those services
the same way we have. Depending on your target audience's frame of reference, we sometimes need to clarify that we are not run on endowed funds.
Reinvesting in our mission
When BAYADA earns a profit, it doesn’t go to an owner, silent partner, or shareholders. When performance leads to profits, we reinvest them into our people, programs, and operations, such as:
• Educational and training opportunities and competencies
• Clinical innovations and new technology to improve client and clinician experiences
• Recruitment efforts to bring in more great people
• New offices around the globe, which equates to helping more people
