The Art of Storytelling
Since the beginning
of time, humans have communicated through the power of stories.
We learn and retain information best through narrative. Stories help the audience follow along, incite empathy, and draw the conclusions themselves.
Stories that stir you, that teach you a lesson, that provide hope, all have one thing in common: they have a tension. Nothing happens without it. For us, and the storytelling of the work we do, that means a problem to solve.
The stories we tell should not only illuminate BAYADA solutions, but also deepen our relationship with the listener or reader. So there are three crucial things to consider, going in:
01 What is the mindset of your audience? (See the section on Our Stakeholders for mindset considerations.)
02 What problems do we solve for them?
03 What was your last communication or touchpoint with them—or is this your first? What is their frame of reference?
