➢ Describe the program's commitment to the service of the community

It is imbibed with the University’s Extension Agenda to intervene in lessening blockades to
the rise of domestic economy thru the conduct of these competency enhancement efforts. ISU
believes that by doing so, more sectors would stand by their own, generating considerable
economic gains to sustain their commercial operations- thus contributing to the overall changes in
             their socio-economic ground.

As presented in Extension Thrust and Direction, the extension programs articulate the social
relevance and conscience of the university as a facilitator of countryside development. The
extension team anchors its effort on the communities to uplift their living conditions through the
realization of the potential of every person it works with and in harnessing rural folk capabilities in
effectively and efficiently utilizing the gamut of community services.

It has been stated in the university vision, mission, goals, and objectives that the university
is committed to the service and development of the community. It is also reflected in the objectives
of the program under-survey. The extension programs conducted are anchored to volunteerism,
             community- based, and participatory approach.
