About the Institute:
VIVA Institute Of Pharmacy (VIP) had its inception in 2010
under the aegis of Late Shri Vishnu Waman Thakur Charitable
Trust with the noble aim of imparting Quality Pharmacy
Education to aspiring students of the rural regions like Virar
and Vasai. It is Located in the tranquil campus at Shirgaon,
having a state-of-the-art infrastructure

USP of the institute:
It is approved by DTE, AICTE & PCI and is affiliated to
University of Mumbai. Institutes Animal house facility is
registered with CPCSEA[New Delhi].
Competent faculties, state-of-the-art laboratories, well-equipped
library, and facilities for extra- curricular activities, provides an
excellent place of learning for the future pharmacists.
Institute is well connected with economical logistics.
Good Governance:
• Enquiries related to scholarship are solved on priority bases.
• All the rules & regulation of the institute are conveyed to the students by orientation, website and laboratory manual.
• Syllabus, Timetables & academic calendar are displayed in advance on the institute website at the commence of the new
semester.

Academics:
• The curriculum for B. Pharm. Program is prescribed by the Pharmacy council of India and examination patten is also as per
PCI, conducted by Mumbai University.
• Timely completion of syllabus for all the semesters of all four years. Extra lectures, if needed any was conducted to clear
concepts of students.The institute aims to impart quality education to its students. Besides the regular B. Pharm. Program
lectures, Proper guidance for GPAT and NIPER is given by the institute faculties.
• Day to day monitoring of lectures and practicals by Academic committee in the form of academic progress report.
• Each faculty has 10-15 mentees. Each month mentoring meeting is conducted for the mentor for holistic growth of these
mentees.
• Slow learners and weak students are given special attention by the respected subject faculties to make concepts clear and
understandable.

Administrative Policies:
• Various committee including Academic committee, Seminar Committee, Cultural committee etc has been established for the
smooth running of college.
• In the Institute, Community Pharmacy Cell is established which organises various programmes such as:
• Disease awareness programs, Blood Donation Camps, Patient Counselling.
• The institute thrives for the innovative research projects for students under the guidance of various eminent faculties and the
faculties have received various grants from university.
• The Academic – Industrial relationship has been established with various pharmaceutical companies near Virar. This benefits
the students in their overall progress.
