About the Institute:
Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy and
Technology Management (SPPSPTM), SVKM’S NMIMS
established in 2006 offers Doctoral, Postgraduate, Graduate
and Diploma Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It also
offer postgraduate management degree to the students
enrolled for integrated programmes.
USP of the institute:
The school is pioneer in introducing integrated programmes in
Pharmacy and management. An excellent infrastructure and
virtual learning system at the school. Summer Internships are
an integral aspect of the pedagogy at SPPSPTM, offering
students an opportunity to collaborate with the corporate world
and put their skills and learnings to practice. Hands on training
of equipment's for experiential learning

• Design of different delivery systems, scale-up and technology transfer of different dosage forms, microfluidic studies
• Pharmacological assessment of natural products, herbal active constituents and small molecules in various animal disease
models of diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, atherosclerosis and peptic ulcer.
• Development of bulk drugs, impurities and metabolites of drugs, lead optimization studies.
• Bioactivity guided isolation of active constituents and their structural elucidation and standardization of herbal extracts.
• Analytical method development and validation, bioanalytical method development, impurity profiling, spectroscopic analysis
using UV, ATIR, HPLC, GC, HPTLC, LC-MS/MS and NMR.
Administrative Policies:
• Students at the school are actively involved in various councils at
school and university level for curricular and extra-curricular
development.
• A feedback system is in place for recruiters, parents, academicians
of repute and students to enrich the curriculum and teaching
