MIND: Mentoring in New Dimensions initiative of SVKM’s
Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy in collaboration with APTI Mumbai region
MIND-Mentoring in new dimensions was an initiative by SVKM’s
Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy in collaboration with
APTI Mumbai region. The main aim for conducting this event was
to focus on the path of purity and righteousness along with
modulation of behaviour as student council member towards
states of perfection. The workshop was identification and
enhancement of skills and personality of the student council and
committee members. The first day of the workshop, 4th August
2021, Wednesday was graced by the presence of Dr. Sandip
Zine who is the faculty at SVKM’s Dr.BNCP as well as the
speaker for the workshop.

The session started with a brief introduction and welcome of
principal of an institute Dr.Munira Momin, Principal,
Dr.Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy, Vile Parle,
Mumbai. She emphasized upon the importance of teamwork
and relationship building. Futher, Dr. Zine started the session
by congratulating all the student council members of different
institutes of Pharmacy colleges across the Mumbai region. The
session comprised about snippets of information in relation to
human values and values instilled as a committee member,
discussion regarding the basic aspirations, a set of standard
principles and how to achieve them was discussed in brief.

Sir also mentioned about the secret to becoming happy and perfect by a way of purity and righteousness. The session was very
interactive, as the audience shared their views and experiences regarding their role as a committee member. The second day 5 th
August 2021, Thursday comprised of a recapitulation of the first day and how interactions lead to deeper issues being addressed.
Dr.Sandip Zine started the discussion regarding the feeling of goodness and imparting goodness. Sir spoke about the various forms of
virtues and how values like morality, generosity and discipline help in building character of a person. He further discussed the take
away message from this entire event and were thankful for the bountiful blessings and learning new things through the course of life.

Towards end of the session, host invited Guest of honour Dr.
Rakesh Somani who is contributing as a professor and principal
at the DY Patil University School of Pharmacy, Nerul, Navi
Mumbai. He addressed the students in accordance to the event
and advised the students with his words of wisdom. Later
Principal Dr. Munira Momin, Principal, SVKM’s BNCP addressed
gathering in coordination with the coverage of the topic and how
she could relate to all the things discussed. There was a short
session where students from the meeting were asked to
summarize the things learnt and their experience of the event.
Various other pharmacy colleges across Mumbai region were
also invited for this event and there was keen participation from
their end as well.

In these two days detailed explanation regarding the path of purity, righteousness and path of virtue was emphasised in depth and
personal experiences were shared. The session ended with closing remarks given by Principal Dr. Munira Momin followed by vote of
thanks.
