Empower A Message from NJPSA Executive
Director Patricia Wright
2017 FEA/NJPSA/NJASCD Fall Conference Dear Friends,
October 19 & 20, 2017 I am pleased to present to you the 2017 issue of Educational Viewpoints.
Each year, reading Viewpoints is an inspiring reminder of the tremendous insights and
at Ocean Place Resort, Long Branch, NJ varied experiences that you, the members of NJPSA, have acquired throughout your
careers. It is also a prime example of your generosity, as you continue to share the
knowledge you have gleaned over the years with the membership at large.
This year’s journal is once again rich with helpful and well-researched articles citing
best practices, personal experiences, and recommendations for school improvement
and career advancement. I’d like to thank each of our authors who took the time to
share their knowledge with us on such topics as leadership, coaching, literacy, hiring
practices, climate and culture, meaningful observations, improving PLC work, and so
much more. This effort truly represents the best of our membership.
Viewpoints is just one of the many benefits you receive as a member of our organization.
You know that you can always count on NJPSA to be there for you throughout your
career to offer guidance, information, and professional learning opportunities to en-
hance your growth as an educational leader. Please be sure to stay up to date with all
our latest offerings by reading our regular blast e-mails, logging onto our web site at
njpsa.org, liking our Facebook page, and following us on Twitter @NJPSA.
As executive director of NJPSA, I could not be more proud of the outstanding work you
do every day in your schools and districts. It is an honor to represent you.
Happy Reading,
Patricia Wright, Executive Director
