The company has grown dramatically with the acceptance of their Archangel platform, IOMAX Archangel Brochure and they
believe it could easily double or triple its size in the next five years. This is a privately held company.
Basic Function
Senior Director of Supply Chain reporting to the CAO
To lead and provide oversight of the procurement, logistics and quality assurance department and to:
• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards,
regulations or laws.
• Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
• Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Monitor forecasts and identify changes to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts
or changes.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
• Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as work flows, cycle times, or system flows.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service.
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as finance,
production, and engineering.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
• Direct and administer a program of effective supply chain strategy, to provide all material, equipment, parts, assemblies,
supplies, services and logistics required for the operation of the Company, ensuring optimum costs, terms and conditions,
adherence to established quality standards, product specifications, schedules and Customer requirements and
expectations.
• Direct the preparation, negotiation and administration of subcontracts for major sub-assemblies and complex items,
ensuring adherence to all established quality and technical standards, delivery requirements and within budget.
