INTRODUCTION





                 DPM6033 MARKETING PLAN is a compulsory course offered to semester five students who are undertaking
                 Diploma in Marketing. This course provides students with an opportunity to gain knowledge on how to market
                 new products or services. At the end of this course, students will be able to develop a basic  product prototype
                 and construct an effective marketing plan with a given standard format.


                 In this course, students will be able to integrate all the marketing concepts and strategies learnt from current and
                 previous semesters. This course also provides opportunities for the students to practice important skills such as
                 leadership skills, communication skills and decision making skills that could mold them to be holistic learners.
                 SEED  1/2020  highlights  interdisciplinary  project  between  Department  of  Commerce  and  Department  of
                 Mechanical Engineering with the aim of embracing the Industry 4.0. This integration and collaboration allows the
                 Diploma  in  Marketing  students  to  construct  creative,  innovative  and  effective  marketing  strategies  for  the
                 products invented by the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering students. Evaluation criteria include evaluation of
                 proposal, prototype, final presentation and a final report.

                 The Management of Commerce Department believes the implementation of these activities are vital to produce
                 graduates who are would stay competitive in the workforce.
