The Wye Valley Walk June 17, 18, 24 and 25
The Wye Valley Walk covers 136 miles from Chepstow to Plynlimon and our festival this year offers the route through Herefordshire divided into four sections over two weekends.
The first weekend is centred around Ross-on-Wye and covers Symonds Yat to Fownhope. The second weekend is based in Hereford and covers Fownhope to Hay-on Wye.
Please book these four walks together until 1st April when any individual spaces remaining will be available. The accommodation package is bookable for either weekend or both.

Wye Valley Walk – Day 1
Saturday, 17th June 2017. 9.00am to 5.00pm Distance 14 miles
Starting from Symonds Yat, we follow the route to Ross-on-Wye, with good views all along the Wye Valley. Pass below Symonds Yat Rocks where the peregrine falcons nest, then on through Kerne Bridge and Howle Hill to finally climb through Chase Wood before arriving in Ross.
Wye Valley Walk – Day 2
Sunday, 18th June 2017. 9.00am to 5.00pm Distance 12 miles
Follow the River Wye from Ross-on-Wye to Hole-in-the-Wall, through How Caple and on to the Capler Hill Fort. From there we go through Paget’s Wood and Common Hill before dropping down into Fownhope.
Wye Valley Walk – Day 3
Saturday, 24th June 2017. 9.00am to 5.00pm Distance 14 miles
We pick up the trail again at Fownhope, passing through Mordiford with its tales of dragons. Then on through Hereford and along the river via Breinton to Stretton Sugwas
Wye Valley Walk – Day 4
Sunday, 25th June 2017. 9.00am to 5.00pm Distance 14 miles
From Byford, walk along the Monnington Walk, an avenue of Scots Pines originally planted in 1641. We pass the Scar and then Bredwardine before climbing over Merbach Hill with its glorious views over the surrounding countryside. We walk on to Hay-on-Wye via Clifford.

Take the easy path with 4 or 6 nights accommodation over two weekends, with booking fees and transport, from £275 or £352 per person in a twin/double. Single supplements apply.
