A varied route which passes through two nature reserves, along the banks of the River Wye.
It then follows an interesting path to a thatched church and an Iron Age hill fort.

Walk 02
Beside the River Arrow to hear about the wildlife, then across the fields to see the 14C farmhouse and buildings of The Leen.
Continue on to see the modern farm unit with 700 milking cows, broiler sheds and anaerobic digester. Return past the Hereford cattle (herd founded in 1780) and Moseley Common, a site of special scientific interest, in time for a light lunch.

Meeting at Holme Lacy House for coffee & a brief introduction to Warner Breaks.
Then through the grounds to a special crossing of the River Wye at Mansell’s Ferry, last operated for the public in 1900.
On to Fownhope in time for lunch - choice of pubs - before catching the bus back to Holme Lacy (pay on the day).
