expert, Tim Dixon.
Tim will explain the history of orcharding in the village, the wildlife value of the orchards and the work of the Three Counties Traditional Project and Colwall Orchard Group. Ending with tea & cakes at Colwall Community orchard.

As the day comes to an end, we walk around Haugh Wood to explore most of its corners as the wood prepares itself for the coming night. Our knowledgeable guide on birdsong will identify any that we hear.

From the site of the Roman settlement of Leintwardine, we follow the Herefordshire Trail over elevated ground.
Descending to the River Teme, Downton Gorge and Castle, then to Burrington & Downton on the Rock. Pub option at the end.
