Our trainers have been individually handpicked based on their extensive experience ‘in the eld’ at the top of their professions. The in-house team brings a wealth of yachting and maritime knowledge to our students, while our specialist and bespoke trainers offer a thoroughly professional insight into the demands and standards of their respective industries.
Lynne Edwards (left)
SENIOR INTERIOR TRAINER
Having rst completed a HND in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management in Oxford, Lynne has since gained more than thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, 10 of which were served aboard luxury motor yachts and a further twenty in other yacht-related and villa management sectors. Lynne has extensive practical experience in all aspects of interior management, including departmental budgets, work rotas, acquisitions as well as supplier and staff management.
Lynne’s skills are extended through various training courses, including the Awards 2 and 3 in Food Safety in Catering as well as expertise in training in villa concierge,management and villa representation in the Alpes Maritimes, where she was dealing mainly with very discerning, wealthy international clients at the top end of the luxury rental market.
Lynne is a PYA Council Member, assisting with the representation of the Interior Department and is also a PYA GUEST approved Trainer.
Kim Woodey (left)
INTERIOR TRAINER
Kim has almost nine years’ experience working on board large motor yachts, cruising both well-known and far- ung regions of the world. Having worked predominantly as Chief Stewardess and Purser on both private and charter vessels, she has been involved in all aspects of the daily running of the vessels, as well as, re t and new build projects.
She knows rst-hand the challenges her students may face. Drawing on her previous experience as a teacher, Kim is ideally suited to provide a relaxed yet focused environment helping her students gain an in-depth understanding of the highest levels of service, housekeeping and organisation.
