CLEANING A GUEST CABIN
Remember to keep your work area tidy as a Guest could walk in at any moment. Remove used towels immediately and keep used rags etc in a plastic bag inside the cleaning caddy. Do not un-stow daycovers and scatter cushions etc until such time as you are ready to put them directly onto the bed.
General rules
• Iftwoormorecabinsbecomeavailableatthesametime, turnlightsonfullinboth, raise blinds and make beds in all available cabins before cleaning bathrooms – it is important that we get all available cabins to a ‘good’ level before beginning on cleaning bathrooms and touching up to perfection. It is no good to have one perfect cabin and one cabin which hasn’t even been started. This makes the Guest aware that you have been communicated with regarding them vacating their cabin
• Alwaysknockonthedoorandmakeyourselfbeknownonentrytothecabinor bathroom to make sure that the Guests have not returned
• Prioritizethebedfirstasitisunsightlywhenunmade, tidyingthegeneralCabinshould happen next followed by cleaning the bathroom
• Whenservicingcabinsalwayskeepthedooropenwiththeexceptionofwhenyouare stripping and re-making the bed as this can be unsightly. A Guest may be looking for a member of the Interior Crew to ask a question or may enter their cabin not realizing you are there and begin getting changed which could end up in an awkward situation (!) - leaving the door open allows you to be seen
