Chapter 1:
Unlucky or What?
Did you ever notice how some people are always
saying, "Oh, I'm so unlucky"? They'll tell you about the
parking ticket they got, the flight they missed, or the
job they didn't get. But, are they really unlucky, or is
there something else going on? Is it possible that their
perception of bad luck is actually a result of their own
choices, attitudes, or behaviors?
Maybe they're not unlucky at all. Maybe they're
just not paying attention to the opportunities that are
right in front of them. Or maybe they're stuck in a
pattern of negative thinking that's attracting more bad
luck into their lives.
Of course, there are real tragedies and challenges in
this world that are beyond our control—unexpected
illnesses, natural disasters, and heartbreaking losses.
That's not what we're talking about here. Instead, we're
