first kiss, leaving home - or coming back, buying your
first house, conquering an addiction, saying "I do," the
death of a loved one, the birth of your first child,
getting divorced, extreme humiliation, bumping into
an old friend, changing careers, hearing a rousing
speech. Most happen in a flash.
Epiphanies pivot us upwards to a new plateau, one
where we look down on what was before and see
things from a far wider perspective. Where before we
couldn't see the forest for the trees now we see the
forest and all the land around it.

What happened immediately before?
What changed in your life?
How would you explain it to a 9-year-old?
Curiosity and resourcefulness are essential
qualities for recognizing and embracing serendipity,
synchronicity, and epiphanies. When we cultivate
curiosity, we begin to notice patterns, relationships,
