drop to your knees and beg for help or forgiveness.
You change your point of view. You dump a few idiotic
so-called “friends."
Sara, a 27-year-old fax machine sales manager
faced a pantyhose predicament under the Florida sun.
She didn’t like the panty lines or the seam that showed
through her open-toed shoes, but she did appreciate
the control top's benefits. Then she had an epiphany.
Using scissors, she cut the feet out of a pair of
control-top hose and wore them under her pants.
"That's when it hit me," she says, recalling the magic
moment. "That's how Spanx came to be.”
Sara quit her job and spent the next two years and
$5,000 of her savings visiting clothing manufacturing
plants up and down North Carolina for research.
Modeling her creations herself, she persuaded Neiman

Bergdorf Goodman followed.
Forbes Magazine named Sara Blakely the youngest
self-made female billionaire in the world and one of
Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in March
2012.
