LESS STRESS: MORE YES
• Trigger Point #5: The Guilt Trip. The
nagging feeling that she should be doing more.
Working harder. Being more productive. The
societal pressure to be a Superwoman,
juggling a million things without breaking a
sweat.
She stared at the list. It was a rogues' gallery of
stress triggers. Each one a potential landmine in the
minefield of her life.
Mark was still talking, his voice rising in intensity.
"We need to find a way to cut costs. Streamline
processes. And we need it yesterday!"
Billie felt her pulse quicken. Her palms were
sweating. The room seemed to be closing in on her.
This was it. Trigger Point Zero. The perfect
storm. The convergence of all her stress bombs into
one explosive situation.
She knew, in that moment, that she couldn't keep
going like this. She couldn't keep reacting to these
triggers like a puppet on a string. She had to take
control.
But how?
