once a day, and only from reliable sources. She
avoided clickbait headlines and doom-
scrolling.
• Shopping Freeze: She unsubscribed from
marketing emails from online retailers. She
made a rule: no impulse purchases.
• Meeting Makeover: She started scheduling
shorter, more focused meetings. She set
agendas. She declined unnecessary invitations.
It wasn't easy. The Time Bandit fought back. The
urge to check her phone, to scroll through social
media, to click on that tempting headline was strong.
