DEEP REST
"And a clear call to action," Cassandra added, her
eyes blazing with a reporter’s hunger. "She's telling us
where she is. Who they are. And what they want."
Cassandra looked at him, her expression grim.
"This isn't just a story, O'Connell. This is a war. And
they just declared it."
She picked up her phone, her fingers already
dialing. "I'm calling my editor. This goes live. All of
it. The satellite images, the land deeds, your
testimony, and now… this." She pointed to the
decoded message. “Evelyn's desperate plea, broadcast
live on national television, hidden in her own
brainwaves."

trembling with exhaustion and the lingering effects of
the sedative. The "demonstration" continued, a
relentless assault on her sanity. Dr. Sharma droned on,
pointing to Evelyn’s "erratic" brain activity, twisting
every nuance into a sign of mental instability.
But she no longer heard them. Her focus was
entirely internal. She had sent the message. The
coordinates. The names. The warning. Now, she just
had to endure.
