That changed the air.
Henry stepped aside.
Logan entered slowly, as if expecting someone to hit him. Claire stood near the table. Jinji kept one hand below the edge of her jacket. Vincent watched from the shadows, wooden cross in his palm.
Logan placed a thumb drive on the table.
“Internal logs,” he said. “Offshore payments. Board minutes. Proof we knew the cooling system could fail weeks before the first death. Proof we priced the repair against the lawsuits and chose the lawsuits.”
Henry stared at the drive.
“Why now?”
Logan laughed once.
It sounded broken.
“Because I watched you ruin the world and still somehow become less guilty than me.”
No one spoke.
He looked at Claire. Then Vincent. Then back at Henry.
“I told myself Cerulean was business. Risk. Exposure. Fiduciary duty. All those clean words. But Dr. Sharma sent seventeen memos. Seventeen. And we treated her like the problem.”
His voice cracked.
“She didn’t just die. We helped kill her.”
