"Where did you get that?" Henry asked.
"Walmart. Five months ago.”
"People love it," Henry said, trying to keep his tone level. "It’s a wellness miracle."
"Indeed," Jinji whispered. “Not for long. Load it up with my Verax program, and the miracle turns into a monster. Try to lie. Exaggerate. Spin."
She tapped the patch. It glowed a faint, sickly violet.
"It punishes you. You get the ‘Vagus Hammer.’ One slip and it triggers a vagal surge, crashing blood pressure and heart rate. This "Vagus Hammer" forces your stomach to churn, causing instant, violent nausea.
