Henry had chosen the timing.

The old skills still worked.
That was the worst part.
They called it The Motherlode.
One hour: every major news site.
Three hours: New Atlantic stock down sixty percent. Six hours: the CEO resigned.
By Monday, the bank was gone.
By Tuesday, three others were shaking.
By Wednesday, Verax had fifty million active users. Henry watched the world react in real time.
Not as theory.
As bodies.
A trader on live television insisted his firm had no exposure to New Atlantic. Halfway through the sentence, he doubled over and vomited behind the anchor desk.
A finance minister tried to reassure the public that the banking system was stable. The patch behind his ear flashed red. His mouth opened. Nothing came out.
