eet Dorothy “Dot” Findlater,
Dot’s son, Darren Wolstein,
Mand Darren’s wife, Wendy
Yale. This threesome has made their
home in York Hills since 2020.
Dot is from London, England, but
her family is originally from Glasgow,
Scotland. “I attended school at Camden
College in London and have worked
as a Specialty Casting Director for my
business, Mirror Images International.
I recently started another business,
Rosemary and Thyme High Teas, a high
tea service.”

Community Involvement
Dot volunteers with the Monterey
County Film Commission as a board
member. She’s also a member of the
Monterey Civic Club and a volunteer
coordinator for Whale Fest. She’s also
involved with Family Tree.

Favorites
Dot enjoys vacationing in Europe—
primarily Scotland, London, and Italy.
Her favorite spot here is Asilomar
Beach. Finding local musicians and
listening to music is another pleasure
for Dot. She also enjoys walking.
As for a favorite meal, Dot shares,
“I love a variety of English cuisine and
enjoying a meal with Darren and Wendy
to whatever takes our fancy.”
“My favorite part about living in my
neighborhood is definitely the close-
knit feel of the small neighborhood, the
strong sense of community, the beautiful
surroundings, and the abundance
of community activities. It creates a
welcoming and vibrant environment
that really makes it feel like home.”
