2-509 Stay to the outside of stairways as you descend to allow
firefighters and other professionals to ascend stairway with
equipment, fire hoses, etc.

2-510 When evacuating a smoke filled building/structure, stay as close
to the floor as possible because smoke rises and cleaner air is
found closer to the floor.

2-511 Once you have evacuated, check in with your supervisor as soon
as possible.

2-512 When exiting mobile equipment in the event of a fire, turn the
engine off.
